​Angela graduated from University College, London with a degree in Classics. She received her Master’s in Education and Pennsylvania Reading Specialist certification from Cabrini University. She is a Wilson Reading System® Dyslexia Practitioner and is a Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Interventionist accredited by the International Dyslexia Association. Before founding Reading Allowed three years ago, Angela spent 14 years working as a Reading Specialist and a Learning Specialist in Philadelphia charter and independent schools. Angela founded Reading Allowed because she saw the success struggling readers experienced when they had access to high quality, individualized instruction delivered by tutors certified and experienced in structured literacy best practices. Angela hopes to provide this level of support for all struggling readers and to identify students at risk of reading failure as early as possible so they may receive the correct intervention.
