Bringing over 10 years of experience, Brittney has dedicated her career to advocating for individuals with disabilities and serving those in need. Upon graduating with her bachelor’s degree from West Chester University in 2012, Brittney began her career as a Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS), where she provided support to clients with behavioral health concerns and assisted them in achieving the goals within their treatment plan. Building trust with the children she worked with was imperative to successfully implementing behavior modifications such as de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution.
After her role as a TSS, Brittney then transitioned to a Blended Case Manager with Devereux, where she assisted families with youth and adolescence in navigating the world of Social Services. Brittney focused on finding resources for the families she supported to bridge the gap between home, community, and the school-based environment. From there, Brittney began working as a Supports Coordinator with the Intellectual Disability and Autism waivers in Pennsylvania where she assisted families in locating, coordinating, and monitoring services.
Since 2014, Brittney has spent her time working at a financial institution where she supported families with children of varying levels of disability and needs. In her role, she developed programming to assist families with accessing supports and services for their loved ones within their community. This programming included information about SSI/SSDI, waivers, housing, employment, and independent living that ultimately coordinated with their overall estate and retirement planning needs.
As a result of the program creation, countless families now have the ability to ensure their child or loved one can achieve their full potential and reach their future goals. Brittney’s training and background includes Transition Planning; Medical Assistance; Social Security; State Waiver programs; Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR); Creative House Solutions; Independent Living; Employment; Higher Education; College Certificate Programs; and Private Pay Options.
